Pet’s AARF Name: Domino
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Domino
How is your adopted pet doing? He’s the sweetest little guy! He took a while to warm up and come around, but with lots of couch cuddles and belly rubs, he fits right in! We recently had a baby, and Domino just loves him, and enjoys laying next to him!

Happy Tails For Magic

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 3/12/22
Pet’s AARF Name: Magic
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Louie
How is your adopted pet doing? Louie (Magic) is doing wonderfully!! He was a little apprehensive his first couple days (especially getting to experience a PA snow storm his 1st day here!), but he adapted quickly and has settled into his fur-ever home nicely! He loves going on walks (often with a stick in his mouth) and meeting all the neighbors and neighborhood dogs! (He already has a crush on the Shih-tzu mix next door!) And Louie is working on learning new commands and tricks, too.
He’s been to the vet for an “introduction” and for his Lyme vaccine (Lyme disease is big here in central PA), and he’s already grown a little (longer, not taller) and put on a few lbs! We can’t get over how “chill” Louie is! He seldom barks (unless startled) and gives a little “woof” if he hears something he doesn’t recognized (he alerted me that the repairman was here before I heard the doorbell!) He’s such a little snuggle-bug and LOVES to jump up on our laps when invited for cuddle time! We are so thankful to everyone at A.A.R.F. for giving us such a wonderful new family member! He is a perfect fit for us and we look forward to many fun adventures together! And a special thank you to his foster family – we can tell how much love you gave him!

Happy Tails For Rosie

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: January 22nd 2022
Pet’s AARF Name: Rosie
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Josie
How is your adopted pet doing? Josie is absolutely thriving in our home. When we got her she was such a nervous pup at first, but once she got used to knowing she was finally home she started to show her personality and she is night and day from that scared puppy we met on day one. She enjoys her bones and playing with her stuffies. She does have three cat brothers, one enjoys her company and the other 2 that are still kind of hesitant about being friends but accept her as their new crazy sibling. We could not imagine life without our Josie Girl.

Happy Tails For Noele

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 02/12/22
Pet’s AARF Name: Noele
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Willow
How is your adopted pet doing? Willow settled in immediately! Her sister, Mimi, is still adjusting to having a new sibling around. But they are more comfortable with each other every day. Willow is full of energy and brings joy to the house constantly! She loves snuggling up in the couch, but her kitten energy demands a lot of play time, too! She loves to carry around her favorite toys, and will even bring them into bed to sleep. We love the new addition to the family!

Happy Tails For Challa

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 2/5/22
Pet’s AARF Name: Challa
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Charlie
How is your adopted pet doing? Charlie is thriving! The moment he arrived home, it was like he had been here all along. He fits in perfectly. Charlie is playful, bold and curious as kittens are, but he’s also polite with his kitty brothers, (who have started to play with him), and sweet with everyone. When I’m busy working, he curls up with our dog, Hattie. He is so smart, too. You can watch him studying things to figure them out. Charlie is absolutely perfect and we are all in love! Thank you, AARF!

He loves people food and will go to any length to steal a meatball right off your plate! True story from his first day in his furever home, it is the origin story of his nickname Meatball! He’s my spicy meatball! He loves to lick and receive kisses, he is very affectionate and sweet. This mischievous little meatball is part of the family and we couldn’t be happier. Pet’s AARF Name: Rex
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Ashton
How is your adopted pet doing? Ashton (formally Rex) is doing wonderful. He has been such a blessing and great addition to our family. After we lost our dog Stella in 2021 to bone cancer, we had emptiness in our family. We found Ashton on the AARF website and he was exactly what we were looking for. Ashton has been such a great addition and a big lover. He loves to play with his sister all day, go on long walks, get Starbucks Pup Cups, sun bathe all day and cuddle at night. We love Ashton so much and so happy he is now part of our family
