Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Joy
How is your adopted pet doing? Joy is doing amazing in our little family. She is playful, loving, and outgoing. Our resident cat is 13 and Joy has brought the kitten back out of her, as well as given her company if we have to be away. Her favorite place to be is out on our patio on our fake grass that has catnip on it and she loves being on her dad’s lap while he works.

Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Barkley
How is your adopted pet doing? I was recently going through some old files and came across the adoption sheet for our sweet Barkley (Crockett). We adopted Barkley in 2010 while we were living in Nashville. He is currently residing in the Chicago suburbs and just celebrated his 14th birthday. He has had a life full of adventures and is EVERYONE’s favorite dog. He has brought so much joy and love to our lives. Thank you for rescuing him from an animal shelter. We can’t imagine our lives without him. And hopefully we won’t have to for many, many more years – he still runs like he’s a puppy. 🙂

Happy Tails For Lizzy
When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 02/16/2024
Pet’s AARF Name: Lizzy
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Lizzy
How is your adopted pet doing? Lizzy is adapting very well. She’s learned our routine of leash walking, potty times, and meals. She gets along wonderfully with our Shih Tzu/pug doggie. Lizzy is letting us pet and hold her and loves attention. She still has moments of being a little timid but is making lots of progress. She plays with her toys and sofa pillows a lot (mainly when she thinks we aren’t watching lol). It’s so awesome to see her grow into the doggie she was always meant to be and really see her personality show. She’s adorable and we just love her to pieces! Thank you AARF for choosing us to be her pet parents! Her foster mom did a wonderful job preparing her for adoption so we would like to thank her so much.
