Happy Tails For Tina

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: Sept. 8, 2013
Pet’s AARF Name: Tina
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Tina
How is your adopted pet doing? Tina is what we call a “foster failure”. While she fit seamlessly into our household, she could never relax anywhere else. She recently celebrated her 15th birthday and is doing well. She’s been welcoming to many, many other foster dogs, even the Great Dane. Tina has some advanced arthritis in her front legs so no more long walks but prior to that she took regular 2-to-2.5-mile walks nearly every day. She has been a sweet and gentle companion for many years and hopefully will celebrate a few more in her future.

Happy Tails For Leia

Pet’s AARF Name: Leia
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Leah
How is your adopted pet doing? Doing just fine. She has settled in very well. She has claimed one of the chairs up front to lay in when we are out. She loves hanging out under all three beds in each of the three bedrooms down stairs and she loves going upstairs with us when we watch programs on the big screen upstairs. She enjoys speaking with the other dog neighbors next door although she usually needs a wash off of her paws in the bathtub after these very excited conversations. Overall she is doing very well. She has been to the vet for an introductory visit and we had her teeth cleaned because of some tarter build up.

Happy Tails For Shamrock

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 04/24/2026
Pet’s AARF Name: Shamrock
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Louie
How is your adopted pet doing? Louie is doing great! He’s been growing fast – gained 1.2 lbs in 3 weeks! He is extremely well socialized and plays well with our older cat, who is now getting more exercise because of him, which is very good (she’s kind of lazy). And he is also very sweet and purrs a lot when snuggling. He is just perfect kitty.

Happy Tails For Luci

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: April 3, 2026
Pet’s AARF Name: Luci
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Lucy
How is your adopted pet doing? Lucy has settled into our home so well & has truly become part of our family. She helped heal a part of us that was hurting from the loss of our sweet girl, Mazie, in March & became a perfect companion/BFF for our other dog, Knox. Lucy’s favorite things are middle-of-the-night potty-break zoomies, car rides, watching the rabbits from our dining room window, daily walks when Dad gets home from work, wrestling her dog-brother, Knox, like a maniac all day, cuddling Mom & Dad, and especiallllly her nightly treat. Her nickname is “Piggy Lou” because we give her little pig tails a lot. We are so thankful AARF blessed us with sweet Lucy. ♡
