How is your adopted pet doing? Oliver has really come a long way since he has been with us. He is no longer touchy around his neck. I can brush him, too. (today he even let me trim the hair on his feet with the little trimmer)!

He is such a precious baby! Oliver is such a sweetheart. We really love him so much. He had his 1st outing with a leash a couple weeks ago on a walk. He did pretty good for never using a leash before. We also took him and our other dog to Rural king for his 1st time. He enjoyed it. We are so glad we have him!

How is your adopted pet doing? Finley (Fenton) is doing awesome! We love him soo much! He has adjusted really well to his new home, and family. He is probably spoiled a little too much, but he deserves it. It took a couple of weeks, but now Finley even gets along with our elderly cat. Finley is very active, going for long walks, and runs every day. We cant imagine life without him! All thanks to Ariel! Ariel matched us perfectly with Finley (Fenton), we really can tell that Ariel loves and cares for all the pets.

How is your adopted pet doing? Guilli is happy and thriving! It’s fun getting to watch him grow each day. He’s a fan of finding sticks, chasing balls, and barking at the robins in the yard. When he’s not doing these things, he’s playing with his new big brother Draco. They’ve become the best of friends. Guilli fits in perfectly with our family because he’s energetic, sweet, and a big goof ball. We’re excited to see him continue to grow. He’s only been with us for a short time but he’s found a permanent place in our hearts.

How is your adopted pet doing? He’s doing great. He immediately came in wanting to explore. He’d previously been exposed to other cats and dogs, so I believe it was an easier transition for him. He got his cat brother Macaroni out of his shell. They love to play tussle. He’ll bop his dog brother Goliath in the face if he’s panting in his face, but has no problem getting close to him to take naps belly up. Lasagna loves head scratches and sleeps snuggled between mom and dad. He’ll wake mom up often by standing on her shoulders making biscuits, or he’ll chirp to go out of the bedroom with Macaroni as the sun rises.

How is your adopted pet doing? Meeko is doing fantastic in the house. Everyone in the house loves playing with him and giving him all the love he needs.
He’s bonded well with one of the cats in the house and they enjoy playing together most of the day, but especially before bed time.
He’s very adventurous and enjoys car drives when we end up taking him along with us for small errands.

How is your adopted pet doing? Josie fits in perfectly. She is learning to use the doggie door and go outside to potty instead of the pee pad. She is learning so I still have the pee pad down by the door. AND she will not go out if it is wet…she does not like to get her little paws wet. She plays with all the other dogs..ranging in ages 7, 4, 3, 3. They are all very gentle with her and let her win at tug of war between her 9 lbs and Mikey, 50 lbs. It is great fun to watch. She is learning basic commands and fetch small balls (returning them to me we are still working on). She has certainly livened up my bunch. They let her crawl all over them. I love to watch them together.

How is your adopted pet doing? Oliver is doing so well. He loves to sleep under the beds or on my chest. It took a few weeks before Oliver and our pup, Brandy, became friends. Now they play and both sleep on me.

How is your adopted pet doing? She’s doing well! Settling in and getting used to the new routines! She loves her kitty brothers! (Although she does want to play all the time and they are not so sure about her version of playing). We have found out that she LOVES soccer, carrots, and blueberries! Her favorite thing to do everyday is her walks followed by fetch or soccer! Weekends are her favorite because mom is home all day and there are usually fun adventures to be had (hiking, going to run errands with mom, training etc.)

How is your adopted pet doing? Our family laid our 16 year old fur baby to rest back in September. Having felt like we lost a piece of our soul, I knew the only thing that would help us heal was to honor our girl by giving a new dog a life of love and happiness. During our search, there were of course many dogs that caught our eye as we are huge dog lovers, but something was preventing us from making the move. We had halted our search for a little bit, until one day I decided to just “take a browse” on petfinder. And there she was, our Stevie Nicks. After seeing her picture and reading her story, I didn’t stop thinking about her for the entire night. Something in my gut was telling me that she was the one. By the next morning we were putting in an application, and the rest is history.

We traveled from New York to Connecticut to pick her up, and it was truly love at first sight. It took her a few days to get settled into her new home, but now it already feels like she has been a part of our lives forever. She is so full of personality, and is one of the most affectionate dogs I have ever come across. Her new morning routine is hopping up into our kids bed to give them their wake up kisses, and when they start to stir she immediately rolls over to her back so they can rub her belly. She’s happy to just be a part of whatever we are doing, and is so loyal and sweet. She is helping us heal from the grief of losing our sweet girl, while also making her own imprint on our lives and heart that makes us excited to give her a life full of adventure and unconditional love. We couldn’t be happier with our choice to rescue our sweet girl, and AARF was so amazing to work with. We have kept in touch with Stevie’s foster, and it is so abundantly clear how well cared for and loved she was.
