Pet’s AARF Name: Luna
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Luna
How is your adopted pet doing? Luna is doing so well! It took her a bit to learn her surroundings but after that, she felt right at home. She loves getting treats and shamelessly accepts at the kisses I give her. She greets me at the door when I get home. Such a sweet girl!

Happy Tails For Hemi

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 06/30/24
Pet’s AARF Name: Hemi
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Hemi
How is your adopted pet doing? Hemi is doing well with our family! He has been trying to engage our senior kitty with play time, she’s not interested in any of that, but she will accept a snoozing buddy! He loves chasing our dog’s tail, as well as his own. Our kids love to cuddle and play with Hemi, and he has secured his spot as the family “baby” with ease. We are so grateful to AARF and Lindsey for all their rescue efforts, without y’all we wouldn’t have Hemi.

As soon as we get home she will give us the entire run down of everything that happened at the house while we were away.

Happy Tails For Sammy

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 5/18/24
Pet’s AARF Name: Sammy
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Pogie
How is your adopted pet doing? Pogie is such a light in my life!! I think (and hope) he is loving Ithaca as much as I love him. Pogie has hiked many miles with me already, and seen most of the local waterfalls and splashed around in all the gorges. He loves to play fetch and tug of war with me but settles very nicely into a cuddle bug routine through the night. Pogie is learning tricks very quickly and knows how to sit, lay down, shake, other paw, stay, come, circle, heel and is learning how to roll over now! He has met some local doggie friends and loved them! He loves everyone we run into on walks and is just the best boy. I am looking forward to many future adventures!!

Happy Tails For Charlie

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 3+ years ago
Pet’s AARF Name: Charlie
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Charlie
How is your adopted pet doing? Charlie is flourishing! His presence has transformed our lives. We’ve relocated from Tennessee to Florida, and although we miss the Tennessee and the beautiful Smokies, Charlie adores the beaches here!

Happy Tails For Delilah

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: May 21, 2024
Pet’s AARF Name: Delilah
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Skye
How is your adopted pet doing? We can’t even remember life without Skye and hopefully she thinks she’s in doggie heaven every day. What did we do without her before? She is a constant source of joy to all 6 of us, whether it’s a companion for farm work, watching her hunt field mice in the hay fields, walks, car rides…. She fits perfectly in all aspects of our lives. She’s such a quick learner that she already has basic commands down pat and is learning high level manners and even helping work the horses! She was supposed to be sleeping in her crate at night but I often find her smuggled in to someone’s bed in the morning, pretending like she is invisible!

Happy Tails For Tux

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: May 2, 2024
Pet’s AARF Name: Tux
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Charley
How is your adopted pet doing? Charley came into our lives at a time when we were deeply grieving the death of our male 14 year-old tuxedo, Rhett. He is a precious baby -a gift from God. He joined his new sister, Scarlett, also 14 years old. Charley interrupted her retirement but she loves him so. Charley is the sweetest kitty and we love him so much. It was love at first sight when Lauren reached into the cage and handed him to Carter. He’s a little rascal sometimes and is quite the entertainer. He loves his cat tree and laying on the ottoman in the sunroom for his longest daily nap. Our lives are richly blessed because of him.

Happy Tails For Tucker

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: A couple of months ago

How is your adopted pet doing? Tucker is doing great! He and my chiweenie are now big pals and love to wrestle each other. Tucker is my shadow, I can count on him to be on my heels no matter where I go in the house. He is also a love bug and snuggler. So happy to have him in my home!
