Happy Tails For Dolly

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 12/28/24
Pet’s AARF Name: Dolly
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Dolly
How is your adopted pet doing? Dolly is a fabulous addition to our family. She is sweet, smart and playful. It’s been a delight watching her gain confidence and be part of her blossoming personality. Dolly’s favorite things are coffee in the mornings with her daddy, watching the birds and deer, playing fetch with her fuzzy balls, snuggles with mommy and practicing her hunting instincts. Her favorite snacks are freeze dried minnows and when mommy shares bites of delicious cheese. She has the sweetest little voice which she sings with as she greets us in the mornings. She is learning that being held and getting kisses on the cheek are something to look forward to each day. We can’t imagine our lives without Dolly. Thank you A.A.R.F. and to her fosters for giving her such a great start!

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 12/20/2024
Pet’s AARF Name: Purrido Bandito
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Dito
How is your adopted pet doing? Dito is a very playful and loving little guy, he likes to play with catnip kickers, worms on a string, and watching birds outside the window from his cat tree! When he’s not playing, he’s usually snuggled up in my lap or on my neck like a scarf. He’s currently undergoing veterinary care to figure out some bathroom issues he’s been having, but it doesn’t seem to bother him as he’s still very excited to eat and play everyday!

How is your adopted pet doing? We named her Izabella for she is a beautiful gift of grace from God. We had lost our 14 yr old lab in August and her 6 year old sister was at such a loss as were we. Izzy lit our house back up!!! We had never rescued before and never will we ever regret our choice to. Bless the angels that cared for this little dumped street dog till we got her. She now sleeps on feather pillows along side our heads! And steals blankets!!!! LOL She is a pleasure and joy that has brought us soooo much love!!! Thank you again for all you do.

Happy Tails For Lainey

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: April 29, 2023
Pet’s AARF Name: Lainey
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Lainey
How is your adopted pet doing? She is doing great! She is spoiled. She is 100% a daddy’s girl. I adopted her as a surprise for my then boyfriend (now husband). He was elated when I brought her home and I don’t think his excitement has lessened any since the day I surprised him with her. His favorite thing to do is cuddle on the couch with her and have her snuggle up next to him in bed to go to sleep. He even gets super jealous on the nights she decides to cuddle up next to me and sleep. She loves running around outside, “zoomies” are a daily thing for her.

Happy Tails For Capicorn

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 6/4/24
Pet’s AARF Name: Capicorn
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Jacob
How is your adopted pet doing? Jacob is a growing boy very active and loving.
It took about 4 weeks for Jacob and my other rescue Zena to get along. Now they are best of friends. Xena taught Jake not to bite hard or be a bully. Also to share their dad. ❤️
Jacob gets along with everyone. He loves his cat wall, call trees, catios and coming to work with dad if it isn’t a Zena play day.
My friends and I have play dates with a dog and cats at each other houses. When I need a babysitter I send them over and my friends do the same when they need pet care. The last time I had to go out on a job (which is rare) I left them for 4 days. When I came home they let me know they had the time of their young lives. Instead of that cold shoulder you would normally get. They were happy and joyful. My friend said they played with each other and the other cats after the first day of introductions.
This weekend we took care of a small dog and my kittens continued their dog socialization. Jacob is very social and by the 3 day the dog and him were sniffing each other without a care. As far as Jacob as a kitten I think Lauren his foster mom did a great job. I don’t see any phobias or bad treats. He absolutely loves to be held by women and playing with little girls. He loves his dad of course. Just an around great cat easy to take care of and handle.
