Pet’s AARF Name: Codie
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Sunny
How is your adopted pet doing? Adopting thru AARF was such a great experience! Sunny seemed to be right at home from the time we walked in the door, although it took a few days for his adopted sister to decide if she was happy with the new kid on the block that I’d brought home. They are now best friends and perfect playmates. Sunny is in to everything, climbs everywhere, is very verbal, prefers my bed to his, likes to fling his food out of the bowl and play with it before eating it, finds great pleasure in attacking my ankles as I walk by and jumping on my head while I’m asleep. He is a wild one and I just love him!!
He loves sharing the view with his adopted sister.
He is a great help with all my quilting projects.
He gets great sleep in his new bed which is also known as mom’s bed.

Pet’s AARF Name: Rylee
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Rylee
How is your adopted pet doing? Rylee is super friendly and affectionate. From the moment we opened her carrier when we brought her home, she has wanted to be in our laps, on our shoulders, or anywhere close by. She comes running with a happy meow whenever we call her, and loves nothing more than to sit and snuggle when she’s worn herself out with her kitten antics.
She has no fear of our large dog, June, who loves to sniff her and nudge her gently with her nose. It took her a little longer to befriend our two-year-old cat. At first the older cat refused to be anywhere near her, however now they are regularly in the same room without any issues. They even play together for short stretches of time before the older cat decides she needs some quiet time away from the energetic kitten. Once Rylee mellows out a little with age, I’m sure they will be even better friends.
We are all so happy little Rylee is here with us. She has really brought new joy to our household!

How is your adopted pet doing? Duggy is doing wonderful! He’s such an amazing addition to our family and is exactly what we needed. Duggy loves running around and playing in our backyard, we go on 2-3 walks a day, and we’re slowly introducing him to sleeping on a dog bed in our bedroom instead of his crate. Duggy gets along great with our 2 kids and has proven a time or two that he will protect them! We couldn’t be happier with Duggy being part of our family….and we love him so much!

Pet’s AARF Name: Zena
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Zena
How is your adopted pet doing? Zena came to us very skiddish and uncertain. After a couple of weeks she became comfortable with the help of her older brother and now she is completely able to be her playful self and give and gets lots of love from her humans. Every morning and night we have snuggle time and my husband and I say that we are the luckiest people to have her and her brother in our lives. I would take 5 more if we could! Zena loves her daily walks, playing with her fur brother and human siblings and with her toys. She is such a love and is doing fantastic!

Pet’s AARF Name: Bentley
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Bentley
How is your adopted pet doing? Bentley is very playful and sweet. He’s now 7 months old and has become fast friends with our 7-year old kitty. They love to play, chase, and wrestle throughout the day. And when they’re worn out, they relax and sleep right next to one another. Bentley enjoyed his first Christmas and New Year’s but didn’t make it to midnight! His first veterinarian appointment went very well and he’s now microchipped. He’s getting used to wearing a collar and tugs it off much less often now! He’s a very sweet boy and we’re so happy he’s a part of our family!
