Pet’s AARF Name: Karson
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Carson
How is your adopted pet doing? Carson is doing beautifully! He fits in very well with our family. He and our older dog chase each other around the backyard and wrestle with each other inside. Sometimes they even snuggle on the couch together! Carson sleeps in his own crate at night and when we’re gone, but he greets us with kisses and tail wags whenever he’s set free. He loves to play with us. He loves to snuggle with us in the chair or at bedtime. The kids ADORE him (the adults do too!) and debate constantly who he belongs to, but he’s definitely a family dog. We’re so happy with him!

Pet’s AARF Name: Sloan
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Raina
How is your adopted pet doing? She is doing wonderful. Her adjustment was slow so we didn’t overwhelm her with the dogs. But she loves everyone and has a silly personality. She has claimed my grandson as her human, as she is always with him. Adopting her was the best decision ever. We all love her so much.

Happy Tails For Starbuck

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 1/24/2022
Pet’s AARF Name: Starbuck
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Zoey
How is your adopted pet doing? Zoey is full of energy! We call it the zoomies, when she zips circles around us. She plays hard and sleeps hard. She loves the dog park and other dogs. She loves shopping for new toys and treats. She loves living the country life. Although she hasn’t yet figured why our horses don’t listen to her commands, it’s only been a few weeks. Give her time.
Zoey had captured our hearts from day one. Karen, her foster parent, made the transition to her new home so easy. Thank you Karen. We love our little Zoey.

Pet’s AARF Name: Smokey
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Tigger
How is your adopted pet doing? Tigger is doing fantastic. He is the perfect pet for me. We have a few issues we are working on but otherwise it is great. Most days we are together 24/7 as he goes to work with me. In the morning when he thinks it is time for me to get up, he pats my eyelids with his paw. One of his favorite things to do is play fetch. For a four month old he does extremely well. He is going to be a great companion.
