Happy Tails For Rocket

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 10/19/2023
Pet’s AARF Name: Rocket
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Sophie
How is your adopted pet doing? Sophie is doing great! She has brought much-needed life and joy back into our home, especially for her big sister, Maggie, who was mourning the loss of her senior kitty sister. Sophie and Maggie bonded almost immediately and although she likes to be the annoying little sister sometimes, they have a very sweet relationship. Sophie often mimics Maggie in a “monkey see, monkey do” kind of way. They play well together and love to sit on the screened-in porch together.

She is very loving and, if she ever slows down, very cuddly. She always has something to say, which we love, because our senior kitty that we lost prior to adopting Sophie was a talker. She has the sweetest personality and is literally the perfect ffit for us. We love her so much and wouldn’t trade her for anything.

She’s still not sure about the cat tree, but Wishie is wonderful company and I’m so glad she’s come to live with me.

How is your adopted pet doing? Rio is doing very well after six weeks in his new home. He still shows a bit of skittishness when outdoors. He is easily startled by sudden noises or movements, and when walking on leash at my side he very frequently stops to check his surroundings, especially behind us. In our home, he is relaxed and comfortable with our routines and has shown no problem behaviors. I am very pleased to have him as my companion!

Happy Tails For Lucy

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 09/29/2023
Pet’s AARF Name: Lucy
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Lucy
How is your adopted pet doing? This little dog has stolen our hearts! She is just so sweet and so playful. She has done so well adjusting to her new home. She started out in her crate while we weren’t home but once we figured out she was good, she has the run of the house all the time. Her favorite spot is sitting in the chair by the window to watch what is going on outside. She loves destroying squeaky toys and can chew up a bone for “serious chewers” in no time! She sleeps in the bed with us and hates getting up in the morning. She likes to take long walks around the neighborhood and loves playing in the field behind the house. I am so glad we happened to meet Lucy at Dogapalooza- We couldn’t imagine life without her.
