Pet’s AARF Name: Delilah
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Ellie
How is your adopted pet doing? She is fantastic! I can’t believe how quickly she adjusted. She’s house trained, great with dogs, cats, kids, energetic enough to be a good hiking buddy, but can also be low key and just lay around the house and snuggle. A really bright girl with a great attitude, an all around super dog. We feel so lucky to have found her.

Pet’s AARF Name: Cooper
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): N/A, still Cooper!
How is your adopted pet doing? Cooper is doing great in his new home! We are working on improving off leash behavior, since he has made significant improvements in come/sit/stay! He is also getting a lot better at his fear of strangers and men. He is one happy little dude! We have found a large dog park near us with a fence a little bit over his jumping abilities, and he absolutely loves getting to run around with his new doggy friends. He is an absolute joy and has made my life so much better already!

Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Kitty Rick
How is your adopted pet doing? Kitty Rick is fitting in great. He and our other cat, Morty, have finally bonded. They play, wrestle, and nap together. Our dogs don’t seem to care that he’s here, until Rick starts playing with their tails. Then they just leave and go to another room! Rick is curious and gets into everything. He loves to chase catnip mice around the house and knock everything off the tables at night. Lol He’s been the best addition to our home. Exactly what we needed!

Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Auggie
How is your adopted pet doing? Thank you Anna and Ariel! Auggie is awesome! We love him and he loves us! The local veterinary report was great! He was wonderful and they all loved him! He is breaking many hearts because they cannot have him! He does have allergies and is being treated for coughs and sneezes. Auggie is a lap dog now! If we sit down he is in our lap immediately! He is doing great with the stairs and going outside to potty. He still prefers people food but we are giving him dog food and treats and he eats when we do! It is a pack thing! So cute! He is very happy and we are happy because he brings us joy and laughter! Wags his tail often! We get kisses all the time!

Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Apollo
How is your adopted pet doing? Apollo has been such a blessing to our family. We could tell he was a little nervous the first day we brought him home but he warmed up so quickly. He now has two moms that spoil him to death. He has at least 30 toys all over the house. A big backyard to play with his new Husky big sister. He makes us laugh all day. And he makes my day when flops over for belly rubs. I thank Michelle and her daughter for choosing us as his family because I don’t see him belonging anywhere else. He’s our little big man.
Happy Tails For Charlie
When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 10/24/20
Pet’s AARF Name: Charlie
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Charlie
How is your adopted pet doing? Charlie is the first dog we’ve ever owned and he’s not what we expected but he’s everything we wanted! We get to spend all our waking hours with him and we all love it. Charlie is epileptic and after conversations with our vet, we put him on anti-seizure meds and his seizures have stopped! Charlie enjoys walks around the neighborhood but gets especially happy when we take him for a hike in the woods. His favorite place to be is snuggling between the two of us on the couch and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Charlie has added so much love and joy to our home. We are truly grateful to Brittany and the people at AARF for giving us a chance to be Charlie’s furever home!
