Happy Tails For Skittles

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: May 8th 2021
Pet’s AARF Name: Skittles
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Rose
How is your adopted pet doing? Rose ( formally Skittles) has been adjusting great into the house, within 10 minutes of being home she was playing with toys and running around like she was here her whole life. It took 3 days for her to not growl at our current cat, Only due to his size was scary for her. The second night she was here, Our current cat was asleep on the bed, she jumped up and curled up to sleep about 2 feet away from him.
Ripple was raised with 4 other cats ( all unrelated to him) and he is now 12, in the last 3 years he lost all 4 of his family members and in the last 18 months has been the only cat in the home. He had been very depress due to no other cats inside and had not been up to more than food water and sleep.
Since adopting Rose he has been running around the house calling for her, playing gently with her and acting like a 3-year-old cat instead of 12 years old, showboating his strength by jumping on the cat tree and scratching it while holding on. Like he used to do.
It was Pure luck we happen to be at Petco that day when She was in the cat housing for adoption. We were in the area and debated on just going in to see what was in stock for toys to cheer Ripple up, and Rose caught our eye.
