Happy Tails For Pudgie

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 6/16/22
Pet’s AARF Name: Pudgie
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Raven
How is your adopted pet doing? Raven is fitting in just fine with my other cat and two dogs. She loves to play and has already claim her spot on the couch when we watch tv. Raven sleeps in the bed with us and loves to be next to her cat sister in the bed but close to mom as well. Raven and My other cat run around the house and play all the time. Raven loves when she has company come over and always steals the show. We all are lucky and glad to have Raven in the house. She completes our little fur family.

Happy Tails For Smokey

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: January 31, 2022
Pet’s AARF Name: Smokey
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Tigger
How is your adopted pet doing? Tigger is doing great. His personality was exactly what I was looking for. He is with me almost 24 hours a day. Tuesday thru Saturday he comes to work with me. Although I can’t say that he loves riding in a car, I can say that he does not seem to mind it. We took a trip to Maine in the last half of May, first part of June in my motorhome. After a few hours I was able to let him have the run of the motorhome. Once he found his prefered spot to ride, he would come by to check on me about every hour or so.

My customers love him as well. He genuinely likes people and will let most people pet him. There are a few that he wants nothing to do with. At the rate he is growing I have no idea how big he will get. At only 9 months old, he already weighs over 12 pounds. He is the greatest and so lovable.

Happy Tails For Decker

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: May, 2022
Pet’s AARF Name: Decker
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Shaka
How is your adopted pet doing? Shaka is the funnest, coolest little spitfire that ever graced a home! EVERYONE is in love with him! He loves going out in the boat and jumping off the bow….he’s fearless! The element that truly impresses me–and it has sooooo much to do with the rescue service–is that he naturally expects that everyone he meets will be kind to him. He wasn’t even afraid of the fireworks over the 4th of July! Thank you AARF for enriching our lives!!!

Happy Tails For Calliope

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: June 10th
Pet’s AARF Name: Calliope
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Calliope
How is your adopted pet doing? Calliope is thriving in our family! It’s just me, Belle the senior Shih Tzu and Calliope! She has lots of toys and a really big cat tree to hang out on! She gets lots of pets and cuddles and her allergy issues have seemed to go away! When she came home she had lots of scabs on her face but they have all healed up. She follows me everywhere I go and never lets me out of her sight! With Calliope, our little family is complete!

Happy Tails For Lola

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 7/3/2020
Pet’s AARF Name: Lola
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Same
How is your adopted pet doing? Lola is doing great! She has come a long way since her adoption. She now loves our whole family and gets very excited when they come to visit. She tore her ACL(CCL) chasing a chipmunk in the fall and had to have TPLO surgery, but was a great patient and has recovered well. She has also become a foster big sister for many different puppies this year and enjoys teaching them how to play tug of war. Thank you for letting Lola become a part of our family.

Happy Tails For Cadbury

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 05/31/2022
Pet’s AARF Name: Cadbury
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Cooper Lee
How is your adopted pet doing? Cooper Lee has adjusted amazingly well. He is having the time of his life with his big/little brother, Alistair. He gets lots of exercise playing and running in the backyard and we are currently training him. He is an absolute joy to have in this family and we are so thankful that we were chosen to adopt him.

Happy Tails For Emma

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: May 2022
Pet’s AARF Name: Emma
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Oreo
How is your adopted pet doing? Oreo has been a great addition to our family! One of our beloved kitties passed at just 2 years old for unknown reasons. My daughter was heartbroken and took the loss hard as he was her special kitty. I wasn't actively searching for a cat, but when I walked into Petco on a Saturday in May and saw her, I just knew she had to come home with us. We have 3 german shepherds, so she's still adjusting to their craziness but she sleeps with my daughter every night. She's a very sweet and talkative girl. (She will let you know when it's time to eat..until you feed her!)

Happy Tails For Kuro

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: May
Pet’s AARF Name: Kuro
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Pete
How is your adopted pet doing? Pete is the most loving cat we could ask for! He gets along well with our dogs and is always very jealous for any affection shown to anyone but him. He’s eating well and completely potty-trained. We take him outside with us from time to time when we’re gardening and he enjoys the little bit of outside time he gets. He’s also very playful. You can tell he’s still got plenty of kitten in him. From randomly running and jumping around for absolutely no reason, to chasing around the different little string toys or even a laser pointer sometimes, he’s always having a good time.

Happy Tails For Grant

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: May
Pet’s AARF Name: Grant
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Buddy
How is your adopted pet doing? We were so blessed by adopting this amazing cat, formally named Grant. His new adoptive name, Buddy, is so fitting and appropriate. He loves and adores everything and everyone. He knows no enemies. We all could learn a lesson from this majestic animal.

Buddy was our 2nd adoption from AARF. Our first was a callico, named Lee Lee. She is our little monkey and comedian. She is the sweetest and loving cat. AARF has enriched our lives beyond measure. There is nothing more powerful than unconditional love. Truly thankful.
