When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: April 2023
Pet’s AARF Name: Maizey
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Maizey
How is your adopted pet doing? Maizey has fit right in from the moment her “sister dog” Gracie and I first met her. She is a sweet, fun loving, rambunctious, protector. She loves romping in the yard, riding in the car, and doing zoomies through the house. She fell right into the routine of the household. Never any timidness about being the new dog. She and Gracie are like 2 peas in a pod. They do everything together as they are 2 months difference in age. Great company for each other and a joy for me. So happy I adopted her.

Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Brady
How is your adopted pet doing? Brady is an energetic bundle of joy that we’ve added to our house hold through A.A.R.F! Introducing him to our other cat was a transition period for both of them. Brady was welcoming and friendly from the beginning, wanting to be friends with everyone! After a week both cats were cuddling and becoming a pair. We’re very grateful for Lauren (Brady’s Foster mom) who has been so generous with advice and recommendations of vets around Cookeville! We’ve already established a relationship with a wonderful vet through her, thank you! Brady was properly named with his adoption name as ‘Curious George’ as he loves to adventure around the house and play constantly! We love him greatly and so happy to have him as part of our home.

How is your adopted pet doing? It’s week 3 and we are spoiling him. He’s been very happy with walks around the property, sleeping real good, our vet loves him and he just loves everyone. The cats are getting used to him which is great. He’s adjusting to our schedule, learning quickly and we are excited to have his obedience class this month. We also got a Dog DNA test we are so excited to do with him. He’s such a great part of the family and we knew when we saw him something clicked. He‘s also gotten us to be more active which is what we needed. Can’t wait to do more hikes and walks with him in the coming months. Been grateful to AARF and his former foster family for the transition. He has been such a blessing and we kept the name because he really is a Lucky dog.
