When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: December 29, 2022
Pet’s AARF Name: Scrappy
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Camdyn “Cam” Miles
How is your adopted pet doing? An orange male kitten who enjoyed snuggles, had a friendly temperament, and would offer his new family plenty of affection. As I considered the traits I hoped my new kitten would have, it seemed that it might be impossible to check off all the boxes. That is, until I found Scrappy’s video posted on AARF’s YouTube page. Watching the video, I recognized that this kitten was literally everything I’d been searching for.
After submitting my application to AARF, I was ecstatic to learn that Scrappy was available to meet. With an over six hour round-trip drive to meet Scrappy, AARF’s foster mom, LeAnn, was incredibly accommodating, even offering to video chat with me so I could see Scrappy in action. I then scheduled a visit to meet Scrappy at Petco, and it only took me a few seconds to realize that he was the perfect fit for me.
Now renamed Camdyn “Cam” Miles, he has settled into my home exceptionally well. Everyday, this orange kitty captures a bit more of my heart, especially as he follows me throughout the house, happily snuggles on my recliner, and plays with his older brother (a Tuxedo, Boots Cooper, already in my home). Just over a month after signing Cam’s adoption papers, I find it difficult to imagine my world without him–he’s brightened up my life and home so much.
From start to finish, working with AARF was an amazing process as they answered all of the questions timely and thoroughly. I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone at AARF for taking care of my boy until he could find his “furever” home!
