Happy Tails For Hercules

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: April 29, 2025
Pet’s AARF Name: Hercules
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Mordechai (Mordy)
How is your adopted pet doing? Mordy is doing fantastic. At first he didn’t eat much and was very scared and clung to me constantly. He had to wear a belly band because he marked everywhere. He pooped on the floor constantly even if we were just outside. My Sophie did OK with him but wasn’t sure at first about a new brother. After 3-4 weeks he says this is my new home. He wants to play (fetching toys) but he is not sure how to play with Sophie and she wants to play with him. Well it has been 5 weeks now and things are pretty normal. He still has Poop accidents on the floor but he does his business outside more and more that now he goes more outside than inside. I love him so much and he snuggles in bed with me under the covers right next to my back. We are working on basic obedience and also with Sophie as she needs some also. He is super smart and learning really fast on everything. I am impressed. I am so blessed to have this guy and so happy he will be with me for a while. He is also my first dog who is younger as I usually adopt senior dogs and also younger sick dogs. He is such a joy. Thank you. What a blessing he is in my life.
