How is your adopted pet doing? I wanted some company for my FeLV+ baby Harriet and reached out to Ariel Marengo, who immediately sent me information on another posikitty who was available. Her foster mom Lauren reached out and we arranged a visit to (what? See if I liked a cat? Yeah, I’m laughing too). Ten days later, I brought then-Glenda home to the guest room, where she stayed until Jackson Galaxy’s timeline said she could come out. An initial bout of mutual hissing decided that Harriet would retain nominal control of the household, and that Ramona* would eat all of Harriet’s food until Harriet acceded to her demands. *Yes, I named her after the curious, lively, sometimes-making-trouble character from Beverly Cleary’s books. You watch her eat the blinds and tell me it doesn’t work.
