Happy Tails For Conrad

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: October 20, 2023
Pet’s AARF Name: Conrad
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Lord Conrad (the first)
How is your adopted pet doing? I adopted Conrad because I had been without a dog for over a year and it was time. I saw his picture and fell in love. I realized he is a hospice dog and that didn’t even phase me. (I was an ICU nurse for 25 years). He has Stage 3 renal disease and a tick disorder but you really couldn’t tell it. He can be wobbly at times walking but not too bad and he drinks a lot of water and has to go potty often. He is a love and such a sweet thing. I love snuggling with him when I sit to watch tv or in bed at night. He is adjusting well and doing really good. At the vet for a full check up and my vet said he is in good health except for the renal issue. I love taking care of people and animals. My vet set me up for success with Conrad and his condition. He has even started playing with me some. I am so happy and will pray that he gets to be with me for a long time, but however long he has he will be totally spoiled for sure.
