How is your adopted pet doing? April – now Katie – is delightful. She and my 3 cats got along from day 1. She is a super affectionate, playful little girl who is now enjoying chilling in the bed with me and the cats. So far she is the perfect fit for us. We’ll need to spend time with helping her to adjust to strangers, but for now I just want her to feel safe and happy in her new home.
Hello! I have one of Katie’s puppies, Hazel (formerly Annabelle). If you are in my area and interested in a play date, I would love to bring Hazel to see her mom! I am so glad to hear Katie is doing well in her new home. She is beautiful!
Hi, I just now saw your comment. I hope April/Katie’s puppies all found good homes. I remember seeing a few of them on AARF’s site. What kind of personality does Hazel have? Katie was quite skittish when we got her, but she has come a long way since then. She is good with walks and knows some basic commands. She is eager to learn and is very treat motivated! We had always had Shelties and a Collie, so this breed was new to us. Katie hasn’t been around other dogs, but we have been considering getting her a playmate – she has a lot of energy and enjoys herding our cats, but they can only put up with so much of that! We live in AL. Do you have a picture of Hazel you can share?
