How is your adopted pet doing? Alex is doing great! He adjusted quickly to life with us and he’s already figured out our morning routine. He even let’s us know if our youngest son is oversleeping (past 7:30) on a school day. He’s a really smart dog and has been easy to train. He loves long walks and rolling in the snow. We try to walk him 6-8 miles a day. He goes to work with Tracy and enjoys being by her side. Alex loves car rides too! He especially enjoys going to places with us where he can go inside (pet stores, Tactor Supply, Lowes). He’s a very quiet dog and sleeps next to our son’s bed. He gets on really well with children and anyone he meets – dog or human – on our local rail trail. People compliment us all the time on how beautiful and friendly he is. We really love him so much and can’t wait to get him out on adventures this Spring and Summer in the Catskills and Adirondacks. We are so grateful to AARF for bringing us together with Alex!
