Happy Tails For Ebba

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: May 12, 2018
Pet’s AARF Name: Ebba
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Ebba
How is your adopted pet doing? She is doing great. She is a little low energy at times but I think that is because she is smart enough to know when it is too hot outside… unlike her Huuuman. She is the first one to load up for a car ride, has finally figured out that horses are not just large dogs and plays well with her sister Abby, a blue heeler farm working dog and Odie, her brother a sheltie working dog at our farm. We have been hiking in several states now on various trails and terrains. She did exceptional well at cowgirl camp in June. She has now progressed to off leash training and is exceling in that – note she now lives on a 109 acre farm that is at the end of a road in an isolated area so safe off leash area. Thank you for introducing us and doing such a great job getting her ready for adoption. You did an excellent job at the house training her zero accidents inside the house – which is awesome for a newbie doggie in a new to her enviroment.

She’s taken over every couch in our home and we are just so happy to have her as a new member of our family. Special shout out to her foster mom, Ashleigh, and Ashleigh’s dogs, who taught her so much about being a dog and being loved by people. She is worth every one of the 2,000 we traveled to bring her home. Thank you AARF for all you did to help make her healthy and available to us!

Happy Tails For Emer

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: May 2018
Pet’s AARF Name: Emer
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Anubis “ Nübi”
How is your adopted pet doing? So sorry for the delay. She is phenomenal and doing excellent. We could not worship her any more. She and our pitty/lab are the best of friends/mother-daughter/sisters and oddly, kind of lovers as well. They play hard all day long and snuggle in between. She and our 11 month old son adore each other.
She is patient, playful, cautious. Truly a very old soul, well beyond her 11 months.

She does chase our hens and jump on the table to get food when we’re not watching closely but we laugh as well as lovingly teach her that that behavior is not desired. We have several acres and a huge organic garden and she helps multiple times a day. We go to the river park every other day as well. She is well fed, well exercised, drenched in love and companionship as we work from home. I’m her biggest fan, no doubt.

She lives a life of ease, joy, excitement, relaxation, curiosity and gives the best love in return. We couldn’t be any more grateful, she is the brightest blessing.

How is your adopted pet doing? Mellie is doing great settling into her new home, in fact it’s like she’s been here all along. She has really taken to the routine of the house hold. She gets along phenomenally with our other 3 dogs, and the cats love her as well. She’s getting ready to start her first agility class and has already shown some heavy interest in Flyball and Disc and has already attended several competitions with us as a spectator. Her favorite things so far are sleeping in bed, and mole hunting in our back yard! She’s not quite convinced on swimming yet. Thank you AARF for your flexibility and willingness to match the right home with the right pet! We are so excited to continue to bond and grow with Mellie.
