Happy Tails For Aria

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 09/29/18
Pet’s AARF Name: Aria
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Ariel
How is your adopted pet doing? Ariel is fitting in very well. My older dog Tre’ has decided that she is fun to play with and maybe not so bad to have around. She likes to play fetch, but her favorite is tug-of-war. She will play tug anytime day or night.

Happy Tails For Marbles

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: July 1, 2018
Pet’s AARF Name: Marbles
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Cookie
How is your adopted pet doing? Cookie brought light into our home. She is the sweetest girl, and we’re so lucky to have her. She’s so funny! She gets this mischievous smile and twinkle in her eye when she’s about to pounce, and it cracks us up every time.
When she’s excited about an especially tasty treat, she’ll walk around on her hind legs and she’s so fluffy, it makes her look like a teddy bear! She loves music and gets sleepy if you sing to her. She will pass up a basket full of toys for a paper towel roll, any day. She loves to kiss, and is always trying to get one more. Working from home, she’s my little assistant and brightens up my office. She’s so smart, and we’re excited for her to start Puppy Kindergarten next week. Thank you, AARF!

We wanted an affectionate and smart dog and we got that and so much more. She’s very entertaining, easy going, a funny little girl and a watch dog to boot. She loves to zip through the house and tease her big bro, Ruler. She’s brought a lot of energy into our home and we love her. Thank you A.A.R.F.

Happy Tails For Rita Hayworth

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: Sept 22, 2018
Pet’s AARF Name: Rita Hayworth
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Dixie
How is your adopted pet doing? I don’t know how in the world I got so lucky to get to have this sweet girl. Rita, now Dixie, has fit in just as snug as can be at my house. She and Cooper play so well with each other and are the best of friends. She is so smart and eager to learn and please. She just wants to be loved on all the time and I just want to love on her all the time! She is doing well being introduced to the cat, but I’m hopeful we will get there. Thanks to AARF and her wonderful foster home for saving and caring for my sweet Dixie girl!

Happy Tails For Parsley

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: September
Pet’s AARF Name: Parsley
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Parsley Rose
How is your adopted pet doing? There’s a saying I saw recently that goes like this,” Dogs come into our lives to teach us about love. They depart to teach us about loss. A new dog never replaces an old dog it merely expands the heart.” After our two old sheepdogs passed the house just seemed too quiet, so we decided we would like to get a new pup. It was love at first sight with Parsley Rose. She has brought such joy and laughter to the house here in Vermont. She is a loving, happy puppy! She loves to explore the outdoors and especially loves when we go for hikes in the woods. The other day we had our first snow and she thought that was pretty great to play in! She reminds us to see the world anew every day and has expanded our hearts in ways we didn’t imagine. On the day one of our old pups passed, a monarch butterfly flew right in front of us and led us up the walkway to our home. The moment the PETS truck pulled in at White River Junction, a monarch flew past the door of the truck…it sure felt like a blessing from the rainbow bridge to our new Parsley. Many thanks to everyone who helped take care of her and got her safely here to her new home!

Happy Tails For Hailey

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: September 30, 2018
Pet’s AARF Name: Hailey
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): LuLu
How is your adopted pet doing? LuLu is doing great! She has settled in very quickly and seems at home with us. She sleeps with us, usually at the foot of our bed, but sometimes closer to us. When we return home and open our garage door, she hears it, and is waiting at the door for us to enter. She didn’t seem too interested in her canned food at first, but then suddenly took a liking to it. When I get up in the morning, she gets all excited as I open the can and put it on a plate for her. LuLu is a very loving, playful kitten. It is clear that she had a wonderful foster family. Thank you so much for giving her such good care!
