Pet’s AARF Name: Aurora
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Satchmo
How is your adopted pet doing? Satchmo is awesome; potty training went well; she plays everyday; is still learning to play with her cats; she has been able to visit her foster mom as she lives down the street and she loves to be in the water. I am so happy to have her in my life. Thank You AARF for all that you do! Thanks to Michelle for being an awesome foster dog mom.
Happy Tails For Cody
When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: April 26, 2020
Pet’s AARF Name: Cody
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Atticus
How is your adopted pet doing? Atticus has been a bundle of surprises and contradictions. We thought he was going to be a snuggly lap cat, but when he got comfortable in his new home, we discovered he’s actually a little gremlin! And we love him! Every day we laugh out loud at his antics and the hilarious responses from our golden retriever. (She comes and tells on Atticus when he’s being naughty!) Yet he has a loving side and always wants to be close by. He has brought so much laughter and joy to our home. We’re really glad Atticus is a part of our family! Heidi with AARF made the no-contact adoption process simple and easy.
Happy Tails For Suzy Q
When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 5/26/2020
Pet’s AARF Name: Suzy Q
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Suzie
How is your adopted pet doing? Suzie is a terrier, so has quickly assumed her hereditary role as Queen of All The Things. She loves to play with her toys, go for walk, and run with the other dogs at the park, but most of all she loves to snuggle. We’ve never had such an affectionate dog. She wants to be with us always, and if we’re hugging, she does her best to be in the middle.

Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Milo
How is your adopted pet doing? He has fit into my little family so well. My other two cats have a blast with Milo. Milo will curl up above my head while I sleep and as soon as you touch him he starts to purr. He loves toys and he carries them around with him everwhere. I’m really glad I got to bring Milo into my family.
Happy Tails For Cormac
When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 3-7-20
Pet’s AARF Name: Cormac
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Winston
How is your adopted pet doing? Winston came into my life at just the right moment and has been the perfect quarantine partner. His silly, eager to please personality keeps us laughing, and his love for the dog park and water keeps us out and adventuring together. I’m very happy to report that his limp from his earlier injuries from life as a stray is almost non-existent and he absolutely loves running and playing, treats and snuggles. Thanks, AARF, for making it possible for Winston to find his forever home with me!

Happy Tails For April
When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 7/2/20
Pet’s AARF Name: April
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Katie
How is your adopted pet doing? April – now Katie – is delightful. She and my 3 cats got along from day 1. She is a super affectionate, playful little girl who is now enjoying chilling in the bed with me and the cats. So far she is the perfect fit for us. We’ll need to spend time with helping her to adjust to strangers, but for now I just want her to feel safe and happy in her new home.
