Happy Tails For Bernard

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: July 2020
Pet’s AARF Name: Bernard
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Zeus
How is your adopted pet doing? He is doing amazing! We just had our second puppy training class at Petsmart last night. He is doing so well! We started the classes because he is still a little nervous around other dogs, and this has been great for building his confidence. He gets along very well with our other dogs. Zeus has had his visit to the vet and they said he is perfect. He loves to eat socks more than his toys and likes belly rubs while sleeping on his back the most!

Happy Tails For Audrey

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: July 2020
Pet’s AARF Name: Audrey
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Olive
How is your adopted pet doing? Olive is doing great! She’s curious, active and keeps us on our toes. When we met her, she was so timid and scared of everything but we’re happy to say that she’s now so excited to meet strangers and other dogs and doesn’t run away at loud noises. We’re very proud of how brave she’s become. She’s a champ at long car rides, has learned sit, lay down, shake at lightening speed and loves to fetch AND bring it back.

Happy Tails For Bellatrix

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: July 28
Pet’s AARF Name: Bellatrix
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Gemma
How is your adopted pet doing? Gemma is doing very well and has made so much progress this last month. We took her home as a scared kitten and have watched her turn to a very playful, confident kitty! She loves to play with her mom and dad and her brother, Bowzer. She is still slowly warming up to pets and cuddles, but with the help of food and toys she is coming around. We can give her all the toys in the world but if you drop crumbled up notebook paper on the ground she would rather play with that! We are hoping that she continues to get comfortable as time goes on, which it seems like she is. We are so happy to have given Gemma a new home and a spoiled life.

How is your adopted pet doing? Leo is a perfect fit for our family! He loves going on hikes and runs and zooming around with his sister. Leo is a superstar in our obedience classes too! He is enjoying life as an indoor dog and has learned how nice it is to nap on the couch and cuddle with his humans. We love Leo and can’t imagine our family without him!

Pet’s AARF Name: Asher
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Bruno
How is your adopted pet doing? Bruno is fitting into the Riordan family better than we could have anticipated! He and his “older brother Rudy” wrestle and play together throughout the day. Also, Bruno seems genuinely excited to greet every member of our family when they walk through the door – he isn’t playing favorites! ha!

Happy Tails For Hattie

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: August 1, 2020
Pet’s AARF Name: Hattie
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Coco Chanel
How is your adopted pet doing? Miss Coco made herself at home right from the start. She is just the sweetest, fluffiest girl. We are so grateful to AARF-TN for making it possible for us to bring this girl home to CT. We adore her and I think she is feeling the same way.

Your foster families have got to be truly amazing because there is no doubt that this sweet girl was treated with love while she was there.

Keep doing the amazing work you are doing…it is making a difference…we saw so many happy families and pets when we picked up our girl.

Thank you!!!!!

Happy Tails For Delilah

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: July
Pet’s AARF Name: Delilah
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Delilah Roxy Miller
How is your adopted pet doing? Delilah is doing wonderful! She loves playing with her human brother and has tons of room to run and play all day! Her brother loves it when she “bunny hops” while running as fast as she can around the house. When play time is over she enjoys cuddling with all her humans or napping in her favorite chair. She had a great first vet visit yesterday where we learned she’s gained more than a pound and is growing fast!
