Happy Tails For Luca

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 10/17/2017
Pet’s AARF Name: Luca
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): DeLuca(Luca)
How is your adopted pet doing? Luca is doing amazing! He has such a personality and he talks all of the time! We have a Husky/Aussie Shepherd that has never been around cats and a 1 year old daughter. He immiediately made himself at home and very quickly, our dog started to love him. We needed a cat that had the energy to keep up with the dog and the wild child and Luca is a perfect fit! He plays and runs with the dog while still sleeping on top of the dogs kennel at night. Half of the time we lose him because he blends in so well with our dog!

How is your adopted pet doing? Amelia is doing great! It’s been almost a year and she’s completely come out of her shell. She loves to hike and swim and play with the regulars at the dog park. She’s completely part of our family and is such a good ball, and it’s never dull with her. We are very happy with AARF and also Ariel who was so helpful and caring and answered any questions we had!

Happy Tails For Mickie

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: March 2017
Pet’s AARF Name: Mickie
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Ryder
How is your adopted pet doing? Ryder felt like he belonged from the very beginning. He just walked in and made himself at home. He is a very active puppy that is into everything but he is very loving. He is very much a mugger. He will put his paw as tight as possible on your neck and put his face right next to yours.

Happy Tails For Gabe

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: September, 2017
Pet’s AARF Name: Gabe
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Scooter Pooter
How is your adopted pet doing? Scooter has been a wonderful addition to our family. He is a blast all the time but also well-behaved, really smart, and gets along wonderfully with our elder-dog, Roxie. She has even started playing for the first time in her life (and lost some weight)! Scooter loves going outside and running around in the yard and around the pond. He has loads of toys but his favorite thing is play with Roxie or chase squirrels up a tree. He also loves to snuggle. We are truly blessed! Thank you, Happy Tail!

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: July
Pet’s AARF Name: Clarinet
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Juniper (Junie)
How is your adopted pet doing? I couldn’t be happier with my sweet Junie. She’s incredibly well behaved, full of energy, and the perfect hiking/camping/kayaking companion. So many thanks to her foster family who clearly had her well socialized to other animals and kids when I got her. She adores going to the dog park and has people laughing wherever she goes with her silly personality 🙂

Happy Tails For Beatrice

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 3 months ago
Pet’s AARF Name: Beatrice
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Beatrice
How is your adopted pet doing? Beatrice has been a great addition to the family. She is the sweetest, happiest dog I have known. We are so lucky hat she and her sister, Ellie (GSP), get along so well. We had her DNA tested and she is 75% Wirehair Pointer which is what we were hoping but we would love her no matter what. She has started obedience classes and is doing well. We couldn’t have asked for a more loving family member! Thank you for letting B move to St Louis and join our family, we love her so much! Special thanks to Ariel for making this happen, you wouldn’t believe what a calm dog she has become.

Happy Tails For Ava

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: August 2017
Pet’s AARF Name: Ava
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Abby
How is your adopted pet doing? Abby is doing great! She has the sweetest, most gentle disposition of any dog we’ve ever had; very laid back;loves to be loved, ride in the car, take walks, chase chipmunks; and generally just wants to be with you. She is very wary of other dogs when she’s on a leash…we may take her to a trainer to talk about this because she can start to growl and go after them if they start to get in her face. But she loves people! We’re so happy to have her and are trying our best to give her a wonderful home, offer protection, and give her lots of love.

Kathleen was a great foster mom, and we’re so grateful for taking Abby in and helping us discover her. Everyone made the process so easy and comfortable for us.
