Happy Tails For GOOSE

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: August 2023
Pet’s AARF Name: GOOSE
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): GOOSE
How is your adopted pet doing? GOOSE has settled in and seems VERY HAPPY to be here. He gets on well with his new little brother Chico, a young Rat Terrier (also rescued). He’s now house trained, loves his daily walk, has a great appetite, gets full run of the house (he thinks he owns the place!) He’s grown and we think there’s more to come – he’s FAST and reminds us of a thoroughbred. We love him dearly and we’re lucky to have him as part of our family. Big thanks to AARF and Susan who fostered him for a while.

Happy Tails For Chipper

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: June 2023
Pet’s AARF Name: Chipper
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Caesar
How is your adopted pet doing? He is doing well. We love his calmness. His name is now Caesar.

Cesar is Precious. We did a 5K walk for our church and the children loved him. They played with him for hours, it was a joy to see. He is a blessing to everyone who meets him. The children, neighbors, visitors, Home Depot, etc. My Nephew 6 years old was terrified of dogs, and would not enter a home with a dog. He visited on Friday and by Saturday he said, it’s ok if Caesar followed him around. Within 48 hours he was playing with Caesar. I am very happy with Caesar. He is therapeutic to everyone who meets him.

He loves to jump, so I am training him to jump on command. He can spring up to 5 feet. Amazing for a little boy.

How is your adopted pet doing? She’s doing great! Loves her mommy and daddy but loves daddy more lol. She also LOVES her food! She’s very vocal so she’ll tell us she’s “starving” even if she just ate the hour before. She’s very energetic and loves running from one end of the house to the other! Happy Tails For Bruzter

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 8/5/23
Pet’s AARF Name: Bruzter
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Kylo
How is your adopted pet doing? Kylo is an amazing dog. He loves to play, run, cuddle and spend time with everyone in the family. He loves his housemate Daisy who is blind and needed some companionship. Kylo has adapted well to the routine with 3 kids and a dog and is always excited to greet everyone when they come home. He loves going walks with the kids and rings the bell at the back door every time he wants to go outside, go on a walk, and even when he knows it’s time to eat. It took him 3 days to bell train! He’s such a smart boy. We are happy to have him.

Happy Tails For Elsa

How is your adopted pet doing? She’s wonderful! So fun and playful, likes the resident cat and he’s warming up to her more and more every day. She loves toys, especially ones she can carry around. She’s just the sweetest girl, loves to sleep in beds and lives for her wet food. We couldn’t be happier!

Happy Tails For Harmony

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: Early August 2023
Pet’s AARF Name: Harmony
Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Harmony
How is your adopted pet doing? Harmony has been with us for one month. She is a wonderful pup. I have never encountered a dog so eager to please. When she first entered our house , Corin ( our Queen Kitty and graduate of AARF) approached her and planted a kiss on Harmony’s nose. Then Corin quietly sat still and allowed Harmony to lick her face. Clearly, the Queen accepted her.

Harmony helps me feed the livestock, has begun herding goats, and learns commands quickly.

Recently we have begun introducing her to our two canine boys. She bonded immediately with the older Australian Shepherd. The younger Border Collie has been a slightly slower but still successful process. She is now fully accepted into our family, and she has clearly found her home.

And I do need to mention that Madison has been fantastic to work with.

Happy Tails For Kenny

How is your adopted pet doing? Kenny is the most wonderful companion and the king of the house. He’s even lost a pound! He quickly got into my routine, wakes me up each morning and “yells” at me until I spend a couple minutes brushing him. He LOVES his brush, behind the ear scratches and belly rubs(?!) He is playful, affectionate and the cat I didn’t know I needed. Thank you, AARF, for everything you do!
