How is your adopted pet doing? “Nala” AKA Nellie was adopted June 10th. In two short months we have watched Nellie adjust to not quite sure she wanted to be at our house to realizing we love her immensely. She is happy to see us walk through the door wagging her little behind a mile a minute. Unfortunately she was heart worm positive when Stephanie (foster mom) found her. She was treated but still has some residual effects that we recently learned of, heart murmur and enlarged heart. Good news, the baby worms circulating in her blood are gone. We are hoping the adult heart worms are gone when she is tested in November. Thank you Stephanie for nursing her back to the best possible health given the condition she was found.
