How is your adopted pet doing? Champ is absolutely wonderful. He has trained us well to respond to his every whim – which usually includes chasing squirrels in our backyard. He has caught some much to our dismay. He enjoys deconstructing toys to get to the squeaker inside. He has been very willing to learn what we teach. He responds to his name very well, sit, attention, and given enough treats, down. He starts obedience classes next week. He loves to play with our cat, Mouse. Sometimes she will play, most times, she screeches and we intervene. We understand that he spent his first two years outside. His foster mom, Ariel did a wonderful job giving him house manners. He looks forward to his walks with us with so much cute enthusiasm, he is hard to resist. For some reason he will let our daughters take photos of him, unless we all try to get in the picture.
