Happy Tails for Lula

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: June 2015

Pet’s AARF Name: Lula

Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Birdie

How is your adopted pet doing? Tell us about them and how they fit into your family.: Little Birdie (formerly Lula) is the funniest and sweetest gal around. She has adapted to her life with us very well, and has discovered she likes cooshy furniture as much as she loves to play at the dog park :). She’s never met a stranger, and is so gentle and playful with babies, kids adults and other dogs. Even through our initial manners and training processes she has been the most delightful quirky companion. The process of adopting through AARF couldn’t have been easier or more supportive, and I am so very grateful for all of you for saving this sweet girl and helping us find each other.

Happy Tails for Jewel

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: 8/29/2015

Pet’s AARF Name: Jewel Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Jewels

How is your adopted pet doing? Tell us about them and how they fit into your family.: Jewels just got here Saturday, but we’re so in love already. She is sweet and sassy. She loves to play and gives kisses and enjoys a good nap after running around in the backyard. She is very well behaved and a very good listener! She is trying to make friends with my adult cat, but he is being grumpy. I’m sure they will be friends soon, since she is so persistent. I want to thank Ariel and our foster mom for allowing us to adopt our little fur baby!

Happy Tails for Pandora

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: June 30th

Pet’s AARF Name: Pandora

Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Dingo

How is your adopted pet doing? Tell us about them and how they fit into your family.: Dingo is adjusting really well and is experiencing so many new things that she is a tired puppy. This morning we went down to the Mississippi River and she saw her first train. Although we were quite a way from the train, she was intrigued yet spooked at the same time. Tippy, our cat, has been slow to welcome Dingo but he’s warming up and deep down he has been wanting a playmate. The kids love Dingo and she is getting lots of playtime and cuddles. Dingo is a perfect match for our playful and energetic family.

Happy Tails for Sparky

When did you adopt your pet from AARF?: May 2015

Pet’s AARF Name: Sparky

Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Scout

How is your adopted pet doing? Tell us about them and how they fit into your family.: Scout has been an absolute joy to have in our lives. We couldn’t have asked for more in a puppy. We were able to potty train him with very few accidents, and he’s already doing great at learning his basic commands (sit, stay, and come). He loves his daily walks in the park and he’s becoming a big fan of playing fetch. We just want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to adopt Scout. We both love him so much, and he’s been the perfect companion for both of us.
